Since Last Friday...

It's been a good long while since I posted anything. Needless to say, we've been busy. We did close on our house and it went smoother than butter and was mildly entertaining as the attorney explained every itty-bitty-tiny-little detail (for our benefit of course). It turns out he knew Jon's grandpa as well. Random.

Since our closing last Friday we've been working on our remodeling project. The house is totally livable... if you want dirty carpet, walls, and floors. As we dug further into this "clean-up" project we discovered that a few more things need to be done. A few walls have holes that were covered by wayne's coating. Mostly, though... everything just needs a good coat of paint. It will brighten everything. Jon's mom came over today and cleaned our windows! Bless her, she loves to clean windows and I do not. I say "loves" in a broad term. She doesn't go seeking windows to clean...but they clean up nice and fast. Just to clarify.

I'm sure there will be many more days of working on this project. For the moment, I'm at our apartment where Levi can sleep in peace and I can relax a little. Seems as though there is an endless pile of stuff to do... its like weeding a hay-field. So, to nap I go. Weeding a rock pile in 80 degree weather has inspired a siesta, if you will. * and yes, I did weed a rock pile... its called landscaping the front of the house.
