I have no idea where to begin but words are pouring out of my head through the expanse between my heart and mind.
I find so much encouragement from bragging on our awesome Lord! Whenever I get to tell someone the stories and struggles of the past year, I find myself so much more greatful and in love with Jesus. I'm sure that God knew that was what I needed today to lift my heart and eyes to see the beauty of the day. He graciously prompted my sister-in-law to call me and we had a wonderful conversation where we simply talked about the joys and sorrows of life. What more could I ask for? I hung up the phone with a joyful spirit inside of my soul. It's as if my eyes are unveiled and I can see clearly again what my dissapointment and flesh forbid my weak heart to see. Amazingly the Lord (of course) came to my rescue and fought this world once again for the joy of my heart. "Thank you, Lord!"
Lord, I praise you that you didn't just die on the cross, but through that victory you continually conquer death and the world. You fight my battles that I am too weak to fight. You pronounce your authority over my life and laugh in the face of sin and flesh. You speak tenderly over me and call me to your heart once again. You awaken my soul to see your tenderness. Your faithfulness amazes me. Thank you Lord for your love for me that you would fight my battle. Such a small one in comparison to things like world hunger. But to you, that struggle is the biggest priority of your heart. Because of your love for me, the state of my heart and mind is of highest priority to you.
