If God is for us, who can be against us?

Jon and I have officially started our "adult life". Yes, we know it started further back than today when we got married, got "real" jobs and got pregnant. However, today we started into the official process of buying a house. Though we're not owners of this estate yet, we eagerly anticipate our move to Cambridge and Lord willing owning this house.

As with many houses in this market that fit the price of our wallet this house does come with it's own special problems. We're not sure how long ago, but at some point the pipe under the kitchen sink broke and lent the house to a fair amount of water damage in the basement. I'm amazed that the damage is exclusive to the basement under the kitchen and not all around the whole house; also thankful. We've looked at a few houses that were so much worse!

Jon and I are encouraged that though we searched and searched for red flags and sought counsil, we found no reason to not purchase this property. Even Jon's uncle who is a frugal man and accountant thought we'd be nuts not to go for this house. "Thanks, Uncle D.!" We were also encouraged to learn about a type of loan that will make our down payment 0% along with being able to avoid PMI (mortgage insurance we don't need).

Overall, we've been praying that if this house is the one the Lord has for us, all the doors will be open and we will walk through them smoothly and quickly. So far, no glitches or hold ups - "thank you, Lord!" No matter what, we praise the Lord for his faithfulness in every situation!

Baby Boy is enjoying Mama's break and happily relaxing and kicking when I'm hungry, uncomfortable or have just eaten. He seems to let me know what he wants, and it's usually corresponding to my physical comfort level. "Oh, I am so curious to get to learn who you are outside my tummy! Love you, Baby!"
