In Reality-early mornings

So, as I was laying in bed thinking, I started to count the hours that Jon and I are usually asleep... about 7.5. What this means, is, that though our schedule seems so very out of whack (mostly to us)- its not. If we were to start our day at the same time everyone else does, and end it at the same time, we'd still only get 7.5 hours of sleep. In other words, we go to bed at 10-11pm and get up at 5:30-6am. Of course our actual hours are going to bed at 5am and getting up at 1pm.
How this all got started was, I happened to be reading Feminine Appeal. The author was speaking on self-control. Of course I was convicted- everyone who reads that probably is as well. She spoke on self-control in our sleep patterns, and how too much sleep is just as bad as too little sleep and does not promot the wall of self-control around our city (self) to keep out the attack of the enemy. WELL- I was even more convicted. But, then I realized we aren't lazy bums! We just have an opposite schedule of everyone else that makes us LOOK lazy. However, I fully admit to being lazy in the afternoon when I sleep for another four hours. That, I would say is just ungodly. To cover myself though, I have a valid reason. I usually take long naps on the days when I go to chapel. This means that when I get up, I've only had about four hours of sleep. Then I come home from chapel and get another two hours in which I probably slept only half or less of those mentioned hours. No excuse for laziness, but a little for sleep-deprivedness.
