I've decided that one of the best movies I've ever watched is Facing the Giants. Truly it is not that great in acting, cutting etc... but the content is something people need to hear. One question though, is...why on earth don't people try to get REALLY good actors? It really makes most things a lot better (and the company will probably sell more too...).
The movie, however, was quite refreshing. It had a sort of real life-down to earth feel to it. I won't give the plot away...you should just see it if you can get past the acting and cheesy lines. On a side note, I think Sony Home Entertainment ought to be given credit for distributing cheaper films (mostly monitarily, not always quality). I was thinking of a recent production made partially in my home town, that Sony H.E. is willing to take on...it's cheap, some of the acting and script aren't quite like Lord of the Rings (sorry to those who were in it that read this blog), but the content and heart behind the movie is great. And Sony not knowing how the public viewing will go, is still willing to take on these smaller budget movies....that's nice.
This blog might suggest I have blogger's syndrome- ranting about not too much.
