The House

Not that this is my house yet,....
Buuuuut, there are already things going slightly wrong, such as water leaking in the basement through a cement, cinderblock wall!
I'm not exactly sure how this happened, but I happened to be over at Jon's taking care of the kitties and trying to pick up a pretty messy house (don't I get to do those things later?) and decided to vaccume. I went downstairs to get the roaring monster (from the perspective of the kitties) and stepped right into about 2 inches of water on the tile floor. To my amazement it was 2 inches covering the entire basement floor, the bedrooms, closets, cracks- everything!
I went to find the source of this mess and found in the laundry room what looked like cinderblocks trying to take a leak on the furnace. Not knowing what to do, I picked up the phone to call Jon just as he called me. He called his dad who came speeding over to conquer the problem. After lots of time spent trying to find the source and talking with Jon's landlord and sweeping water back into the laundry room, we decided to leave. We shut off the water, went upstairs and had leftover pizza and mountain dew. Needless to say- the cats hate being locked in the bathroom, and aren't very afraid of getting wet.

To be continued...after the insurance company takes a look...
