This is Jon's birthday cake (yummmm!). For his golden birthday, I wanted to make him a cake. He asked for a chocolate cake with a sweet fruity frosting... I was totally baffled and asked him what he meant. He didn't know. I asked his mom what he meant. She didn't know. Finally we figured that he wanted something with chocolate and something with fruit. Okay. It can be done. What I came out with was a chocolate cake with part of the sides cut out and filled with raspberry pie filling. On top it was chocolate whipped creme frosting swirled with the leftover raspberry filling. I will post the frosting and cake recipe at some point, soon... and all the variations I did. Regardless, the cake came out really good and very rich. :) Happy Birthday, Jon!!!
