To update our relatives and friends who read this blog on the house process/situation, I'll write a short, but sweet, little summery of what is happening... plus a little extra...
House~
We got a call on friday telling us that our offer probably wouldn't make it (sellers and bank wouldn't like it) and "oh by the way, there's another offer on the table and we're meeting with them tomorrow."
Wednesday we got a call from our realtor telling us that the other offer had been accepted and we would no longer get the house- BUT, that our offer wasn't rejected; if everything fell through with them, we could possibly get the house- however, unlikely.
Friday (yesterday) we decided to look into the possibility of buying Jon's cousin's house in Brooklyn Park after randomly opening the Bible and reading the verse "Your cousin will ask you to buy his property and you should do it.." No lie! So... Jon calls me and says... "I called my cousin, no reply. Our realtor called." Apparently the other buyers now "don't want to buy at all..."
The upshot of all this? Our offer has been accepted, along with the previous one, by the sellers and because the other people "don't want to buy" the house is in our hands and now we're waiting for their bank to approve our financing. Just when we thought it was all said and done, too.
Anniversary~
We chose to go to a B&B called Nicolin Mansion in Jordan, MN. I would so strongly recomend this to anyone- mostly because of the Hosts. Unbelieveably friendly and kind; hospitable and genuine (plus they make GREAT food). It's a family run deal, they and their children live on the third floor and run the establishment together. We've enjoyed this B&B very much, and it's also very affordable.
Though an amazing stay, we had a bit of scare the first morning. I, climbing into the ENORMOUS bed didn't get enough "oomphf" and promptly fell backwards toppeling onto the floor and smashing into a secretary desk; my head into the glass door resulting in shattered glass all over me and the floor. Thankfully I was able to slow the "boom-thud-crash" with my foot whose ankle (same one as the last fall 2.5 weeks previous) gave out and rolled. Go figure. I guess I might just be prone to accidents or some unknown force is intent on making me fall.
Our wonderful baby boy is doing just fine though and moving around like always, though we're keeping a very strict eye on any and every sign of preterm labor.

holy cow! I think you should get a wheel chair and leaving walking to the professionals! I'm glad you're feeling ok, though!
Wow, that's just crazy. Glad everyone is doing okay. So I am confused, whose house are you going to buy now. The cousin's or the other house?
the other house :)
