Memoirs of Four Days

I'm sure there is plenty to blog about in my life- currently I'm not thinkng in blogging terms. I guess I'll just update on my life.

Currently:
There is vanilla yogurt, canned fruit, bread, butter, an empty glass of water and a jar of pickles in front of me (next to me?). I've been having terrible morning sickness and thus the variety of food that will go down and hopefully stay down. I've been successful so far in that nothing has come back up. I had to abstain from classes this afternoon (morning for us) because the lack of sleep and indigestion from the past weekend kept me under a comforter with my feet popping out for cold air. I guess Greek food doesn't settle so well with Baby. Perhaps not Mexican either since we took Jon's best friend out for his birthday at Chilies. We all love that place, but for some reason- Kickin' Nachos just don't mix properly with Greek. I guess you could say it was Mexeek food for me and Baby.

Past Weekend:
We had the Spears family Christmas. Pretty fun, I'd say. Jon and I arrived late on Friday night and spent the rest of the evening in fun coversation (that I can no longer remember). The next day we enjoyed getting up around 11am and progressing to games of Blokus and making the Greek food. All this while, I was nauseated, but that came and went. Presents and food came and were followed by Baby's complaints resulting in indigestion. With the kitchen clean, we progressed to watch "The Assasination of Jesse James...". Weird movie, very informative, and dark. I'm not sure if I would recomend it yet. I have to ponder that. Sunday morning came with sweet dreams of visiting old friends, heavily interupted by my dad pounding down the stairs and beating down my door- to get me to come take a "good" picture of an enormous eagle eating a dear carcas in my parent's field. Only in Cambridge. I rolled out of bed like a zombie, marched up the stairs, took the picture, went back to bed, only to get up because my mind (now working) had a brilliant idea to try and capture a better picture. By the time I got back to bed, Jon was up and dressed. My hopes for a recalled sweet dream were dashed. We embarked back up the stairs to be met with a really good sausage/hashbrown egg bake my mom made with citris fruit cocktail. A very delightful breakfast! My mom got out her road to bethlehem and we watched her tell the Christmas story with wooden figures and Bible verses and candles. Memorable for (I think) all of us who grew up on this tradition (ie; Becca, my mom, dad, and I). My mom wants this to become a tradition for the grandkids. I think its cool. We trapsed to church and back, had a good lunch, good naps, good (cold) brisk walk, good leftovers, and departure from the Spears Homestead. All in all, a wonderful Christmas!

Tomorrow:
Class, class, and... class. :) Opportunities for wonderful memeories in our little abode with our tiny little, but growing, family.
